Building Pluto The WiFi Robot, Part I: The Chassis

21st of February, 2017 09:30

Hi everyone! Recently I was lucky to make my dream come true and create a small robot. The idea belongs to my colleague from MobiDev Dmytro Korablyov, and the company was very kind to support us with spare parts for robot. We proudly named it Pluto:

The basic scope of work to build such a robot is as follows:

  • it moves on two wheels (the third one is loose)
  • it is controlled via a browser with internet access (a local Wi-Fi network)
  • it streams video from the camera to the browser in real time
  • the person who controls the robot—"the pilot"—can rotate the camera (left/right/up/down) to widen the field of vision.
